Oman and the United States are exploring ways to enhance their economic and investment cooperation, with a particular focus on expanding trade, supporting Omani exports, and attracting American investment. The discussions took place during a meeting between Oman’s Minister of Economy, Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, and representatives of the Oman Trade Office in the United States, who were visiting Oman.
The dialogue centered on the achievements of the Oman Trade Office, future plans, and the challenges and opportunities for deepening economic ties between the two nations. A key point of the meeting was the ambition to increase access for Omani products in the US market and to attract more American investments into Oman, while also identifying new areas for trade cooperation.
Trade relations between Oman and the United States have seen significant activity, with bilateral trade reaching approximately OMR 555.26 million by the end of July 2026. Oman’s major exports to the US include chemicals and aluminium, while vehicles and transport equipment are among the main exports from the US to Oman.
