Xiaomi is broadening its horizons, evolving from a smartphone manufacturer into a sprawling tech giant with a vision that encompasses home, transportation, and digital services. The company’s strategic focus, encapsulated in its “Human x Car x Home” philosophy, is driving the creation of an interconnected ecosystem designed to seamlessly integrate into everyday life.
Recently, Xiaomi ventured into the network-attached storage market by launching its Smart Storage device, available in 4TB, 8TB, and 16TB options. The new product made a significant impact, securing over 30,000 orders within just the first hour of its crowdfunding campaign. Besides storage, the device boasts features like multi-device backups, remote file access, 4K media streaming, and AI-powered photo management, further enhancing its appeal to tech-savvy consumers.
Beyond smartphones and TVs, Xiaomi’s product lineup has expanded to include tablets, smartwatches, wireless earbuds, air purifiers, routers, home appliances, smart lighting, gaming monitors, electric scooters, coffee machines, portable printers, and electric vehicles. Central to this ecosystem is HyperOS, Xiaomi’s software platform, which aims to ensure a seamless experience across all devices in homes and vehicles while maintaining affordability and accessibility.
This comprehensive strategy has yielded impressive financial results for Xiaomi. In the first quarter of 2026, the company reported revenues of 99.1 billion yuan and a net income of 4.72 billion yuan. For the full 2025 fiscal year, Xiaomi achieved a record adjusted net profit of 39.2 billion yuan, underscoring the effectiveness of its expansive approach.
Xiaomi’s foray into the electric vehicle market has also been noteworthy, with 600,000 vehicles delivered since it entered the sector. The company is on track to reach a total of 550,000 units delivered by the end of 2026. By integrating consumer electronics, smart-home devices, digital infrastructure, and electric vehicles, Xiaomi is positioning itself as a leading force in the global technology landscape.
