During the third Oman-Philippines Forum, Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and Philippine Foreign Secretary Maria Teresa Lázaro held discussions aimed at enhancing the cooperative relationship between their countries. The meeting took place alongside the forum, which serves as a crucial platform for boosting collaboration across various sectors.
The ministers delved into opportunities to bolster partnerships in key areas such as trade, investment, logistics, tourism, energy, and technology. They underscored the forum’s significance in fostering closer ties not only between the governments but also among businesses and academic institutions from both nations.
Additionally, both ministers acknowledged the strengthening bond between Oman and the Philippines, attributing part of this synergy to the vibrant Filipino community in Oman. This community continues to be instrumental in nurturing people-to-people connections and facilitating cultural exchanges.
Beyond bilateral relations, the dialogue extended to regional and international issues, where both officials emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination to promote peace and security. They also highlighted efforts to ensure the safe flow of maritime navigation and the stability of global supply chains, which are critical to both nations.
