This commitment was highlighted during discussions in Muscat on Friday between Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, and India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar.
The meeting served as a platform for both ministers to review the enduring relationship between their nations and to explore avenues for deepening bilateral ties. Emphasis was placed on boosting collaboration among businesses, fostering high-quality investments, and generating new economic opportunities that would yield mutual benefits.
Regional and international developments were also on the agenda, with particular attention given to the security of maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. The discussions addressed the implications of regional tensions on global trade, energy resources, and supply chains, underscoring the strategic importance of this maritime corridor.
